Walid Mourad: entrepreneur, author, and architect of NeuroAI

My business education comes from my father, my companies, and what I learned by moving forward through difficult times.

I’m Walid Mourad, a Venezuelan entrepreneur, the author of The Sixth Code and Fear of Fear, and the founder of NeuroAI, an AI marketing and automation platform for small businesses. I started working at 16 in my father’s business, learning sales, marketing, finance, and business management from him. I later founded my own businesses in Venezuela and New York. Those experiences taught me how much time and attention running a company requires, and they inspired me to create NeuroAI in 2024. My approach brings together practical experience, artificial intelligence, and a clear belief: the customer relationship continues after payment.

I was born in Porlamar, in the state of Nueva Esparta, Venezuela. In 2001, at the age of 16, I began working with my father in his business, which sold appliances and household goods. My business education began alongside him, learning sales, marketing, finance, and management, and continued through the experience of running my own businesses. In 2011, I founded my own business in Punto Fijo, in the state of Falcón, selling appliances, electronics, and products for the home.

I went through difficult times as economic conditions changed in Venezuela. When I arrived in New York, I drew on that experience to continue building businesses. In 2022, I founded my own phone businesses. Challenges are part of my story, and my response has been to use what I learned to take the next step. That is what perseverance means to me: learning from difficult periods and continuing to build.

I also experienced the strain of having too many tasks and too little time for myself. I wanted support with daily operations while keeping the important decisions in my own hands. That need led me to found NeuroAI in Delaware in 2024. NeuroAI is an AI marketing and automation platform for small businesses, retailers, and service professionals. Its purpose is to help them organize contacts, follow up on sales opportunities, and support customers throughout the buying process, including after payment. To me, technology is valuable when it serves people and addresses a specific business need.

My curiosity about the human mind also led me to write. The Sixth Code grew out of my interest in how we think and the relationship I see between the mind and artificial intelligence. Fear of Fear emerged from the doubts that arise when we question our own beliefs, including things we once felt certain about. I speak Arabic, Spanish, and English, and I can get by in Portuguese. My approach to business brings together what I learned from my father, the experience of running my own companies, and a willingness to keep learning, with customer care at the heart of my work.
